In July 2012 18 year old Thomas Kelly was king hit in an unprovoked, cowardly attack. Two days after the attack in Kings Cross the teenagers life support was turned off. To say that this is an isolated occurrence in Australia is unfortunately not the case. There is 70,000 victims of alcohol fuelled violence every year in Australia.
Nicole Steele from Paterson & Steele and I have created the Mend a Man poster to help make a change and help the Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation in their great cause. Each print has been created on 40 x 50 cm 200 gsm card with black metallic foil. This is gorgeous, Jasmine. What a wonderful idea. The final piece we taught our Year 12 boys was all about becoming a 'good' man. This quote really sums up what I hope for all young people...it is much easier to build them than to try to mend their faults..issues later on.
